Throttle sticking when engine runs over 200 degrees WTF !!!
Had a new cam installed, and took out my power chip so car was running hotter. Since then noticed when car was really hot the throttle would stick.
I noticed it did it after engine temp passed 200deg. Checked the bushings and they were shot, so I had the thing rebushed, reinstalled and seemed to work ok. This weekend it was a little warm out so temp got over 200 degrees, and then it started sticking again.
Anyone had this problem? Is the TB warped or something, it works fine until it gets over 200 degrees then sticks. If I give a good blip to the throttle the spring brings it back, but very light on the throttle and it sticks in one spot.

You could lube it at the bushings, but your problem is likely the butterflies rubbing on the TB housing. Adjust the butterflies to where they are no longer rubbing by turning the idle screw at the stop. Then reset the IAC valve and TPS.

Dumb question, but If I adjust everything to stop it just before the point that it rubs, then the butterflies will be open a bit. Won't that cause a problem with more air coming in than it should at closed throttle?

as long as its not opened alot, the iac will adjust accordingly to maintain idle speed. it'll just open less, which can actually be better for throttle response.
