If those are the same as from Corvette Central, I have them.

Without precats they droned but since I put in new precats and a rear crossover pipe the level is acceptable for me....

Best regards

I have the ones in the 2nd link. Though in your link that doesnt look like the catback Magnaflow system, rather just the muffler. The Magnaflow catback includes an x pipe, resonator and the 2 mufflers pictured.

I liked it at first, but then it was too quiet for me - it didnt done at all. I removed the resonator for more sound, and I like it a lot now. It does drone a little bit, but I have 4.11s so on the highway the revs are high enough to keep it above the drone zone for the most part. If I daily drove the car I would not recommend this setup as it would get on my nerves after a while. But, for a toy its great.

Well, the fit and finish was ok, it came as a set with the rear y pipe with crossover.

As for the sound, it got slightly louder after break in but in general it is not to loud. In fact, the other noises are louder at high speeds.

Keep in mind, that I have the front cats and main cat in place, although not stock but high flow aftermarkets.

I read that review of the dynomax VT muffler, and mine does not hae any of those problems, no clanks on startup or anything else, had them on for a couple thousand miles now and no issues. as I said before if issues do arrise, I will junk them, they were really not that much money. for now I like the sound and love that my resonance is gone...

I've had both the 15623 mufflers and 16837 3" magnaflow exhaust on either my 92 LT1 or 96 LT4 with stock manifolds. They are very similar as far as sound and drone. I never had any annoying drone with either. I cut the mufflers from my 92 and installed the mufflers; I had to go for a drive before I installed any mufflers - it sounded perfect - not loud at idle but really opened up when I mashed the throttle. The OE resonator handles most of the sound. The 3" system on my LT4 looks good, is a little quiet with no drone, but is disappointing in the design. It probably doesn't affect my mild LT4 but it's not really a 3" system; the x-pipe necks down to 2-3/8" from what I remember. On top of that, the resonator is an X-design also. Kinda weird to have a double X.
Bottom line....magnaflow is great for the price of stainless components and doesn't have drone when installed on LT motors.

now I'm getting somewhere, I missed the fact you had them on your car, I recall you built up the engine a little and yet those magnaflows were a little quiet?
I like the way my offset in and offset out ol' shcool dynomaxs sound, they rumble and don't drone, but both rear brackets broke yesterday who knows why, but now the sound don't transmit inside even more;just had a new 700r4 put in...

do you still have those mufflers? how were the fit on them did the tips line up to the rear of the car straight or crooked? **** us Corvette owners aren't we?
