Had those on my 86 they sounds good but to Quite for my taste.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/380406536874...84.m1438.l2649

I now have 2 chamber Flowmaster like the way they sound but the Drone is just too much at cruise.

I like to know also if these are louder than the others I like to have more sound but not Drone I have now.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Magnaflow-Ca...item2a18db7b01

Others say the Billy Boat is Loud.

I looked at the Borlas the say the 2 1/4 are Quiet the 2.5 are louder and te Stinger are Loud I like the way the stingers look but I dont what the Drone.

I lean toward Corsa Now but I dont like the price but thats why they cost the way the do no Drone.

I used to have these http://outboundlink.me/ib.php?DR_id=...%26t%3D3002076 on mine. They were nice and the build quality was great, but with the rest of the exhaust being stock they were just too damn quiet and droned a decent amount. I had them taken off, sold them to another forum member and had muffler eliminators put on. Sounds so much better, but it's still too quiet for my taste.

This is the Magnaflow Performance Exhaust on my 96.

My 96 has Hi-Flow Cats and it is a 383 with LE2 heads from Elliot

This is at cruising speeds, once it is pushed the drone multiplies by 600

My 95 has the same mufflers but, I have no drone on that one.

Yeah, my Magnaflows with no cats can be loud. If I wanted a quiet car I'd have bought an electric car.

For a little short drive, a sunday drive and a car show maybe good but, when you drive all over and drive 1,000 miles on the weekend it is a PITA and you would end up with a tingling head.

Remember guys, my Vettes are not garage queens, sunday drives or low mileage cars.

Im about this close

to buy Dynomax Turbo Mufflers or the Corsa system

I drive mine a lot when the weather nice.

I end up ordering a set Of Borla 11134 they are a bolt on to the stock Y Pipe mufflers.
2.250 pipe size they claim they have a nice groul to them with NO DRONE.

I guess just getting to old Ha Ha I not 16 years old any more LOL.

They say 100K warranty and they were only $417.00 No tax free shipping.

Anytime you guys find a muffler (system?) you want to buy (where you end up annoyed by resonance), try this before ditching/avoiding the system.

Put glass-packs (aka resonators) in the rear section. When I first bought my 89, I wanted dual 3" slash-cut polished resonator tips on it. I found them direct from distributor for $150. To make sure this "semi-eliminator" setup wasn't too loud, I also used glass packs.....

The sound was perfect.

I have the dynomax vt mufflers, basically no drone at all, but it is quiet, not bad, but you do actually hear the engine not just the exhaust. I put alot of miles on mine and cannot live with a drone, it just gives me a headache, so I am happy.

I just didn't like the Idea of the Valve and spring inside the muffler of the Dynomax VT.

the valve and spring are not an issue, and it oes help with the drone while when you open it up it still comes to life. I really doubt you will ever see an issue with the valve or spring. I had the same setup on a Buell motorcycle and it worked for years without issues. Plus they are cheap enough that you could swap them if really needed

On that clip I was not pushing it. On the freeeway, going up hill (most of the drive I did Sat-Sun and Mon) the drone was driving me nuts. It used to be way louder, the heat wrap and the resonator removal took about 50% away. That thing was a monster in the begining. Great if you are in your 20s

My Z28 had a 2-chamber Flowmaster, I was 25 and I loved it but, things do change. I got to find the bolt for the carrier and see if the GTO spare tire will take at least 50% of whats left away.

yeah i read about that spare tire theory, I don't think so,

the Corsa's were ear splitting loud with any kind of throttle, I sold it, but it was a handsome set up...

OBX for sure... If I were to go that route/look, very good price

my mickey mouse tips look cheap considering the amount of money I spend on the car, I love the LTx tips, when I had the LT muffs on but, they did not flow enough for my horsepower and bottle necked...

I may grab Cuisinart tips and and try some of these

http://www.jegs.com/p/Moroso/Moroso-...44819/10002/-1

I have had 6 systems on the car and frankly it is a money pit

I have LT1 tip on my 2 Chamber I like the look but the Drone has to go.

When I had my Magnflows were ok there was some drone with the headers with out and with the cat at 1800 RPM range but not the sound I was looking for.
I was told by others the Mangaflows were to quite at idel.

I love the sound of the 2 chamber at idel after that just to loud on long drives they will get on you're nerves and you ears will ring for long time after getting out of car.

I hope and crossing my fingers the Borlas is what I been looking for.
