Default Need help, coolant temp. sensor!

I accidentally broke the temp sensor under the TB the other day. Now I need to buy a new connector but I forgot whether the yellow wire connects to the right or left terminal. Can someone vertify this on their car and check back with me. I would appreciate it! Thanks

Dude,
These are locking connectors, they only lock one way.

Yes I know. The plastic casing broke and I'm left w/ only two wires; a black and a yellow. I need to know which goes where so when I buy a new casing I know where to install each wire.

The coolant temp sendor is a thermisistor. It does not matter which way you configure the two wires in it. The computer is just reading resistance across the circuit and comparing it to a chart of known temperatures at the given resistance. DO however make SURE that your connector WORKS WELL! Otherwise you'll run into the problems i had when I first bought my vette. It would get hot and then sputter and die all over the place. The connector was shorting out and telling the computer my temp was 300*C one second, then -40*C the next minute, then 150, then 200, then 0, then 300 .. you get the point. It was flooding and leaning the engine out to compensate for the temperature and caused a nightmare. Took forever and one guy's recommendation from here to figure it out. Also made my tranny mess up since it runs on the same ground.
