Had a shop put a new top and weatherstripping on my car. Took a week and $240 more than the estimate (claimed didn't know we wanted liner and door weatherstripping done, even though they had the parts and the wife told them when she dropped it off). When I picked it up, I was more focused on the work they had done than on what wasn't working anymore, so it took some time driving to figure out that the radio doesn't work (radio turns on, but no sound and no antenna movement), no mirror movement, no heater or fan, no courtesy lights, and no accessory power when the key is turned off but door hasn't been opened. Also flashing SYS on the range, etc. display. Haven't had time to pull codes yet, but hoping someone else has had similar experience and can point me at what might be wrong. Was thinking wires going into the doors or deck release wires. Haven't checked to see if the deck release buttons work yet, either.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Called shop and owner said they put a battery charger on it while working on the top. Obviously did not disconnect battery. Possible they fried the CCM?
Checked fuses and circuit breakers and all okay. Ran CCM diagnostic and had an H25 code. Cleared that and no current codes. Disconnected battery for 15 minutes or so, hooked back up and still same scenario, no heater, no courtesy lights, radio on, no antenna, no power mirrors, and no sound. Deck lid release buttons work. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Spent a few hours on the car yesterday, finding the right relay was a pain in the butt. The code says it is a courtesy light relay, but the manual only shows a dome light relay. Also, the manual shows in at least 3-4 places where the relays are, but shows 2 next to the radio and three farther away while the car has 3 next to the radio and 2 farther away. Finally found the correct location on here (thanks CF). Pretty hard to troubleshoot the connector the relay plugs into upside down, in the dark, by feel. Decided to leave everything apart for now and take the door panels off to see if something was left unconnected when they were put back in, hopefully tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be an easy fix.
In the book, it shows a schematic of the relay with 4 posts, 1, 2, 4, & 5, but it doesn't show which post is which and the posts on the relay are numbered differently and, there are 5 posts. I'm going to try my darnedest to figure out which post is which, but it sure would have been nice if there was some correlation in the manual like a pin-out on the socket or something.
