Vette Tech TRI Y headers for C4





They were (are) a good design. But did have some issues [minor?] with some cars. I know a couple sets dropped right in. A couple others needed a dent on the PS to fit. Mine needed a 1/8" dent on the DS.
Part of the reason for that is because VT wanted to make a set that fired outward (from the exhaust port) as far as possible before turning down. Because C4's are hand-made and have variation from car to car, you could have a minor contact issue here/there. The owner/manager did offer to take back and adjust any set that didn't fit. Many/most chose to dent them and not wait.
I sent mine in and ended up shortening the collector 4"....probably a move better designed for a high-spinner (vs my long-tube setup). I did convert to a 383 and considered an HSR (still am).
Everyone praised their performance. So, from that standpoint, they are great.
I've never seen anyone post a 4-sale for a used set. When the OBX stuff came out, I did consider it once. If you really want a set, post a "WTB" thread in the C4parts forum.
