http://store.procompelectronics.com/default.aspx. try this one , seems to be them. their site lists that box , with the module installed, and then the module by itself. Different decal on the face of their newer boxes though, searched three times , this is the only one that came up.

The module inside that box has no energy storage capacitor which is necessary for a CDI (Capacitive Discharge Ignition). Such a capacitor has a voltage rating of ~500 volts and about 1uf and is physically a cylinder of about 1 inch diameter and 3 inches long.
The module inside this unit looks like an MSD HEI module. (I had one once, but it failed and I never replaced it with another. Instead, I went to an MSD-6 CDI system, which DOES have a large energy storage capacitor (~1.0 uf at ~500 volts).) The internals of the MSD-6 box look nothing like this.
If this is really what is inside a ProCompElectronics MSD-6 look-alike ignition, it is fraudulent because the label states CDI and it is NOT a capacitive discharge ignition!
