Default C4 issues need help

i got a stock 93 stock vette with a auto transmission with several issues that i need help with.
first the car starts and drives fine with no problem until i have to stop, the rpm never drops down when i stop and the high RPM continues until i leave it stand for a minute then the RPM drop back to normal and the car drives fine again. i been told to replace the T.P.S. looking for advised.
the other issues with my headlights. the problem is that when i turn the headlights on they will stay down but when i turn the headlights off they will pop up. please help anyone. sorryfor the last thread i was in a hurry and did not proofread thanks

Check the throttle linkage for binding. Could be the cable from the gas pedal. Sometimes the bushings for the throttle shaft wear and cause it to bind.

Sometimes the cruise control can cause this. Disconnect the cruise control cable at the throttle body and see how that goes.

Do you have a way to measure the TPS voltage? If it's too high the ECM will think you've got the gas pedal on the floor.

If the problem is still there after all of the above then it might be an IAC problem.

Have you checked for trouble codes?

Do you know anybody with scanner software? A scan would tell you a lot.
