Pinpointing my transmission problem...
Hi all. Some of you will remember I had a problem the other day where I blew one of my hoses into the next state. I revved so high that a hose burst. Anyways, I'm finding that shifting into 3rd is a bit of a problem. Tell me if this is normal:
I keep it in first, rev to about 2000, take my foot off the gas a little and shift into 2nd. NO problem. Then, I do the same for shifting into 3rd - except even if I rev to 3000 - I take my foot off the gas a little, shift into 3rd (drive) and wait 2 seconds for it to shift...
What's my problem? :confused:

I don't normally shift in manually, but I know that at WOT it's not shifting right. I did it this afternoon to see if anything seemed odd and this is what I found...

sounds like maybe the TV cable would need adjusting, or that the clutch pack is about to go and you need a rebuild

Talk to vettenoob. Both him and I are have ing the same problem with our 700r4. It basically wont shift from 1st to 2nd at WOT unless we take our foot of the gas for a little bit. It will shift out of first to second at WOT only after hitting rev limit for a couple of seconds. It turns out that his car had an aftermarket shift kit in it and they used the wrong spring. I will find out soon if that's my case. By the way his car is shifting fine now.

It's actually okay from 1-2, just 2-3 is the problem... It figures my situation is a wierd one. Maybe it IS just the TV cable..
