Who sells a good complete fuel pump/sending unit with the pump, sending unit, gasket, bulkhead and whatever else is needed for a complete replacement. My pump actually works fine and the car runs fine but the gas gauge reads full all the time. I have had this out too many times to screw with it anymore I just want to replace the entire unit.

Pull it out take an meter to the two leads slowly move the float and watch for a gradual change. If you get and open spot its bad. If it has a nice gradual change from one end to the other your problem is not the sender. You might want to do this before you invest $400 in a new one.

Ecklers had the whole enchilada for $187 last yr...
The sender assy is the most costly part. You might try cleaning the sender by spraying a diluted wheel wash acid...or a similar diluted phosphoric acid to dissolve the scum thats built up on the contacts. Sometimes the contact will break off...then its toast. Replacement is the ONLY option.
Do a search on Flea-Bay as well. I have bought used units that were in good shape for under $100. The delco cost is down to under $400...but still way too high.
I have had to replace the pump a couple times, fuel pump connector at the top of the unit, The pulsater a couple times, had a pin hole in the steel line and I have a bunch of RTV black sealing the bulkhead to the tank it's just one thing after another with this unit. I'm at the point now where I'm questioning putting the bulkhead bolts back in or just using velcro. Has anybody used the ZIP Corvette in the link from ch@os ? Is the sending unit accurate ? Is the pump any good ?
My problem was broken wires through the bulkhead. Ecklers for the sending unit, wires, tubing, bulkhead plate, gasket, and bolts. Racetronics for the pump, no pulser needed.
