Too bad you didn't do it before you bought the 383

Which is going to cost a arm and a leg for what you require to get EFI in your car with that engine
Sell the engine , buy identical LT1 version of it and you can do all the work yourself.
Going to need a very good custom tune with that cam either way

If you do that go with a different intake. The F.I.R.S.T.,Miniram, HSR, Super Ram, PRO FLO Or large tube runner set up. I went with the HSR because I got a good deal on one.

Here is a Miniram

This converted LT1 will bolt up and allow the use of a Dizzy

Can we get this inserted as post #4.5?

What you (cabani2) will possibly lose in reselling this and getting the LT1 version will pale in comparison to the cost (in time, money, frustration) of switching the car to an old SBC setup.

This sounds like the quickest way to go.....carb will make more power anyway if you already have the package.

If you're dead set on keeping the EFI, just return what you have to the builder for an LT1 stroker and easy peasy.....and you'll save money cuz it becomes a long block instead of a complete crate.

Most good builders will have mutliple package options.....a full crate 383/500 setup is around $5K-$6K so they really shouldn't mind cuz its a big sale....you may have the eat the shipping, but that is a lot less than aftermarket EFI.....$1500 or so.

Who did you buy the package from? Are they a big builder or some guy in his garage?

I doubt the carb setup will fit under the hood. That 110 lca cam is gonna be a problum tuning with EFI. I think the best solution here is to contact a builder on this board that is very knolageable about building good power in your C4 Vette. Dont spend a lot of time and money on mistakes that others have already paid dearly to figure out. He can pick through what you have and use what he can, you can trade off the rest, to get you the most bang for the buck. Its a lot more fun to drive a strong Vette than bang your head against the wall.

just got an aluminum stock intake manifold with highly polished and professionally ported T.P.I. with a Professional Product Power 52mm throttle body with NOS power shot fogger system set up for 125-175 h.p. with max capacity of 300 h.p. and Holley fuel regulator, with aluminum oversized runners and a 10# bottle with all steel braided hoses that came directly out of an automatic 1991 corvette. going with an aftermarker T.P.I. wiring harness and '91 computer. also adding NOS digital management sysyem that would complement a manual transmission. also going with an aftermarket aeromotive fuel system to maintain adequate fuel pressure. also going with a 65,000 volt inition system. also going to go with my familiar 3:73 gears when my 2:45's run out. thanks for all of your good and wise advise. if you have any other suggestions and/or good advise, i am willing to listen.

I say put the fast EZ EFI on the motor It's self tuning and all you do is answer the set up questions it asks.
