Default 89 vette
My vette keeps forcing me to go from 1st to 4th I was tolled there is a plug I can disconnect to stop this. Can anyone tell me where this plug is located.

On the driver's side of the transmission. Very easy to access and unplug. IIRC, it's two wires with a grey connector.

Just tape up the plug-ends in case a subsequent buyer would like the function re-installed.

Yeah...right.
