Default Yes, another wheel question... Sorry!

I have been reading a lot of threads lately and the bulk of them see to be on rims and wheel sizes! I have been looking at my 1985 corvette and wanted to give her a little makeover. I figured getting a new set of rubbers and rims would be the way to go! So it seems a lot of people are running 11's at the back but you guys recommended the site oewheels and I found this on there.

It is affordable for me and I like the style. But will this fit? Since it's is only a 10.5 on the rear are tires hard to find like that after? Also will I need spacers? Thanks for the input and sorry if you guys are getting sick of talking about the wheels.

I think the offset is wrong for the early C4.

Call these guys.....they know what offset you need....and their prices are always lowest. Quality is excellent, never had a problem.

I've used them for years.......they are a major importer and supply a lot of retailers around the country...

ok here we go. You can put any wheels on your car if you want to use spacers. If you don't here's what you can do:

You have an 85. ( I have an 85). The offset is 38mm. 84 to 87 have this. No other Corvette does except believe it or not the ZR1. Those wheels are 17X11 (rear) and will fit directly on your car front and rear. The only other wheels are ones from the late model firebirds and camaros. They are 17X9.5 and are also 38mm. I have a set of those on my 85 right now.

thats it in a nutshell. Any other wheels such as stock corvette C4 wheels are about 54mm offset and will require 1 inch spacers. Your always better to go with direct bolt ons because spacer(ed) wheels are going to put extra load on your wheel hubs and studs but lots of guys do it. Your call.
There are lots of companies selling here that have repo wheels in 17 inch that will fit your car and for very good prices.

I just put a pair of 88 wheels (17 x 9.5) on the rear of my 85 with 315 tires, they only just fit with no spacers, but the right side rubbed on the inside edge of the plastic inner gaurd, the inside edge of the rim and tire just miss the brake line.
Im going to take the 315 tires off and replace them with 275 and that should be enough to stop the rubbing on left hand corners.
these wheels have the 54mm offset and fit on the rear, they came off the front of another car and had a scrape mark on the inside which I suspect was the tie rod hitting so the front might be a different matter and require some sort of spacer.
