I removed the B&M Mega Shifter and put the factory shifter back in because I got tired of the T handle moving. Saw a couple of post on a B&M Prostick a few years back. Now it time to change the shifter to a better one. I found out about the shifting pattern of the Prostick, don't really like having to pull, lift and push at the same time to change gears going forward. I found this modification that looks really intresting. Please check it out and voice your comments. http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/shifter/
I'm using a b&m pro mag gate style shifter w/reverse full manual v.body and reverse shifter plate. The shifter aside from using the 'trigger' and reverse lock out very reliable. It can also be set-up to use a standard patern (forward shift plate) and can be used for both 3 speed and 4 speed auto's. This is good f planning to swap to a 3 speed or non reverse pattern v.body.
I wasn't interested in being able to reverse slam or neutral slam. If in neutral and I don't want to start in 1st holding trigger down and pulling all the way back throws it straight into 2nd.
The only thing I did since the trigger didn't bother me, was to instal the reverse lockout bar to the right of the shifter. This allows me to move shifter forward while one of my fingers moves the reverse lock out forward keeping it a (one handed operation).

Your post is what I wanted to emulate. I know about the gate patterns, in the article, it gives ways to change the things I don't like about the way the shifter operates. I also don't want to slam reverse or neutral but, shifting from 1st to 4th without pulling back and up.
