Default carbing a 383

So I just finished my 383 build and I am disapointed in the performace of the tpi intake. I know they dont flow very good and didnt want to put 1k into a intake. So im am putting a 750 vaccum secondary on my car. For the fuel pump I was just going to run a bypass regulator beacuse I only need 7-9 psi. Just making sure this will work and what regulator do you recommend?

Thanks

Did you ever have problems with your return or did it work flawless?

That carb will work fine on your 383. 300-36 Holley and Eddy rpm work well. May need a drop base air cleaner hood clearance will be tight!
Get specs from the mfr on height measure go from there.

Got a clean 750 DP with electric choke up for grabs....

There is about 9" from the block to hood. Using a carb without a choke housing, a Holley HP or mill the choke off a standard DP, will help a lot.

it depends how big of a Pump you have , and the size of the return line .. i used it with a walbro intank with a factory return line and it worked fine , but once i went up to a huge external pump / fuel cell and a -10 feed , i had to up the return line to a -8 or -6 ..
