The second link is a diy semi ghetto fix. (might be stronger then stock?)
He used 2 solder lug lock washers (electrical connectors), with 8 teeth. I am sure if you wanted to go this route, you would have a bit of trial and error getting 2 to fit just right. Jb weld them into the floating assembly and see what happens.

Keep us posted as to what you do.

Yep Bill has it right. That is actually a "Solder Lug Lock Washer".... not sure what terminology they are using in the pic...

Anyway Google when used with the right terminology helped me find the supplier for you.

This would be something you need to trial and error to get the right fit.

I have no idea if the ones pictured are the right size.

Ok - the "Solder Lug Lock Washers" finally arrived and they are indeed the right size - thanks to the guy that provided the pics -
now I have 250 of them if anyone needs one!
Has anyone had any luck removing the plastic collar from that actuator without goofing it up?
Thanks

So does this work? I would certainly give it a try rather than dishing out $500 + to rebuild them...

I will let you know if it works when I am done... naturally the actuator part needs to be good ...seems like the failure is in the collar and plastic gear..if the collar is still good then hopefully you ans install the 'solder lug lock washers' in the collar and all will be good..will let the group know when I have a chance to finish.

Lets us know how it works out, I don't see why it wouldn't. My biggest concern is how do you take apart the actuator without destroying it. And then putting it back together

Jim... please give us some more details / pictures on this... I am very interested and would like to know where exactly to cut the actuator, and what I should seal them with. This was one of the coolest options on my car and I would like to get it working again.

I have a feeling my actuators are good, recently I was doing some cleaning and moved them around a bit. The FX3 suddenly worked for one trip. Next time I started the car, the SRC light came on again!

Thanks in advance!

I did not take any pics.. but the link I provide has some good pics,
I just used some foil duct tape, several wraps and so far it has held in the 107 Texas temps.

Corvette Central has metal replacement gears. Easy to install. No cutting at all. Just push out one tiny roll pin, in the top of the shock shaft. Can do the fronts on the car.
