I have a Caliper Rattling in my left Front Wheel. It actually has play inside the Housing causing a rattle on Rough Pavement.I can actually feel Movement when I wiggle it by hand. It goes away when I apply the Brakes.Anyone experience this crazy Noise? Maybe I can put Brake Pad Grease on the Mating Surfaces????
Thanx

You need "anti-rattle" clips for the pads... Its the brake pads that are rattling...
Along those same lines...my wife's '94 developed a rattle on the left front, only on rough roads or uneven pavement (but more of a 'tinny' rattle than a solid thunk). I thought perhaps it was a caliper/pad issue also. After a week or so of driving/troubleshooting I discovered the "cowbell" that covers the shaft of the front shock was loose and rattling. Replaced shock, rattle gone!
Naw, the hardest part is finding the place to snap them in... My Vette has the same noise and I said when I get new pads I would get the clips... I am still on the original pads at 90k lol
