The majority of the job I have done but it's the rear hatch that's giving me a problem. The old weatherstripping was held in by a lot of glue and there's a lot of sealant left over and it's a royal pain to clean, has anyone had this issue and does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to clean it?
Have you tried 3M 08984 general purpose adhesive cleaner? It comes in a quart can with a squirt top. It's recommended by GM in the weatherstrip training video for removing OEM adhesive. I have used it and it works good with cut up terry cloth like old washcloths, the cotton strands make it scrub faster than just a rag would.

You can find 3M General Adhesive cleaner at many local locations. I'm sure any local body/paint supply shop will have it. As many autoparts stores should have it as well. You might even find it a HD or Lowes.
BTW.. Even with the cleaner, it's no picnic. Probably one of the messiest PITA jobs I've ever done.
Also does anyone know exactly which screws go where, some of them were with stripped or they broke. I have extras but I just need to know which ones go where.

Do you have any "Goof Off" around the house? It works with lots of adhesives and is cheap. If you have some, try it and let us know if it does the job.
The cleaning part is pretty much done but I really need to know what screws and hardware goes where for all of the weatherstripping, I made the grave error of not marking a Baggie for them so I would know :/ if anybody can help me with that I really need to know. Pics would help a lot.
