Default 85 corvette

I have 85 CORVETTE with stock motor, I'm in the process of putting on 1989 stock aluminum heads and I will replace the runners with TPIS runners. Will I need to replace the stock manifold with an updated one? Don't know if the bolt pattern will effect this conversion.

You will also need to change your computer chip to get the right function with aluminum heads.

Hi Bob,
where did you get the runners from, are they new or second hand ?
The only difference you need to worry about first up is the 9th or cold start injector (which 85's are fitted with), do your runners have this provision ?
dont worry about the chip, the 85 computer and MAF can handle a lot of mods.

You can use your original base, but it will somewhat negate the affect of the bigger runners. Look into porting your plenum aswell.
