Default Cleaning Brake Master Cylinder

Hi,

I am replacing my Brake Master Cylinder on my 92 LT1.

What recommendations cleaning the Fluid Reservoir of the film buildup (brown residue) of contaminated/oxidized brake fluid?

Thanks and regards,

If you have it off the car and master cylinder try some brake parts cleaner.

I couldn't get that crap out. I just bought a new res. and threw the old one away.
They are not very expensive.

Remove the reservoir, seal both holes with rubber plugs, fill reservoir with simple green and let it seat for 24 hours. Your reservoir will be clean and looking new.
