I can.

This is for FX3 1994 and 1995 for sure and prolly applies to the to the other years too but with different pins to jump! (since 94+95 had the odbII connector on their odbI comps) I have no idea bout F45 tho.

It won't be a code set in the normal sense. It will be a code that you must read by making the SRC light flash.

Here's how to read the code on a '94+'95:

Default 1992 convertible

These types of errors related to the car computer or what? Costly to replace this type of conditional problem?

Default I'm such a newby regarding corvettes

I don't have much knowledge yet about corvette's but I'm sure I will learn quickly. Any good places to look regarding timelines on model changes...(ie 92 =C?, 93=C?) ?

the most common failure mode is the pot metal driven gear on the top of the shock breaks and the plstic driving gear on the actuator spins freely and the FX3 comp sees this as a time out and raises and error. Every time you start the car the FX3 comp wants to send the shocks to full firm then to full soft then to the setting you've made on the center console. If one shock is slower than the others in doing this it will set an error that will identify which shock/actuator combo is failing. The repairs are easy to do even for a novice with only a basic socket set and a paperclip.

The cost varies depending upon what has failed. There is an aftermarket solution for better than new driven gears made from cast aluminum.

go here and check out the difference by year:
http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...92/92prod.html

Some basic differences: 92 was first year for the lt1. It and the early 93 use a two sided belt and have magnesium valve covers. They have no MAF instead they use MAPs only. Their auto tranys are 700r4s renamed 4l60 (no e!) and employ TV cables. They use R12.

You will need to search the forums here to find out which two pins need to be jumped to start the FX3 diagnostics. The codes I linked to are the same once you get the diag started. I'll see if I can find it too.

If you want to just look and see what's up the front actuators are easy to come at. There is a clip that holds the actuators onto the shock tops and it springs off and you can look. If you see little teeth missing you've found your bad shock/actuator. The rears are the same but you will need to jack the car up and pull the wheel and unbolt the little plate at the top of the shock because the rear actuators live in the frame.

[EDIT]DOH! it has been a long time since I made the post I linked to. I did include the pins for the 92! so just read that post and you should be ok
