I'm trying to figure out what MAF to replace mine with. A new AC Delco unit lists for $812, GM Parts house sells it for $528.
Have any of you replaced yours with a "remanufactured" unit which seem to sell for under $300.
What has your experience been?
Thanks for your input.

I would highly recommend using the OE bosch.. GM did designed it specifically for that ECM.
and yes, I have a reman. at the time of purchase way lower then $300.
Another option for a TPI MAF replacement is a conversion to a modern sensor such as offered by Blowerworks (blowerworks.net).
Due to the hardware differences, special tuning is also required. The end result is reliable, tunable and upgradable system, with low replacement cost.
Everything from stock replacement to roughly 1,000 hp can be supported with various tuning, sensor and housing options for 86-89 165 ecm applications.
Make sure you actually have to replace the MAF. The relays are notorious for failure and are much cheaper to throw parts at. You don't mention why you you have come to the conclusion that you have to replace the MAF. I mention this because I have been chasing a rough idle issue for 5 years that caused a code 34 that turned out to be a EGR stuck open and bad relays.
