Spedo still doesnt work
The wires and the Vehicle speed sensor are good. new VSS and when i plug it in and spin the vss with a drill my mph works. I install the driven gear onto the vss and install the vss into the transmission. I take it for a test drive and my spedo still doesn't work. obviously the gears arnt making contact. the driven and drive gears appear to be in good condition. the drive gear in the transmission does not free spin, i cant turn it by hand. is it possible the driven gear and clip have slide forward on the output shaft and how the gears dont touch? i have the 38 tooth driven gear with the stock drive gear. I have the only VSS that the auto parts store carries which is made for the smaller 38 tooth driven gear.

im not sure what location its installed in on the output shaft. is the driven gear supposed to line up dead center with the drive gear? because when i look in the VSS hole the drive gear appears to be forward center of the hole.
The drive gear looks green, same green as the 38T (blue) driven gear. I have head that there are smaller diameter drive gears, is this correct?
