c4 wont start

My 96 c4 wont start, I get the brake pressure light on when I try to start and the engine wont turn over. Aghhhh...

Brake pedal is firm and fluid is where it is suppose to be.

I think you should be able to start the car even if every part of the brake system is failed. Put the brake light aside for a minute.

Test the clutch safety switch (manual) or try starting in neutral (auto).

Forum search for VATS troubleshooting. Clean the contacts on your ignition key's pellet.

the battery is fine, I did replace the clutch slave and master cylinders however, I am having trouble bleeding them out. Could that trigger some safety sensor so the car wont start?

There is a switch on the clutch to make sure it is full down prior to start. Make sure the switch is still in contact with the clutch pedal lever and that it is still connected and working.

The car wouldnt start because when I put the slave and master cylinders I forgot to take the aluminum bracket from the old master cylinder, everything is working perfectly now, system bled and the car starts.
