power seat

Default power seat

How do I remove the driver seat to replace the power seat rack. seat will not adjust front to back. sounds like broken gear spinning.

Press down in the front center of the seat. Reach under and unclip the coat-hangar-like wire holding the bottom cushion on and lift out the cushion. Remove the four bolts holding the seat to the rails. Remove the seat. Now you should be able to pull the track in the same direction that you're trying to move it with the switch to expose the four nuts holding the track to the floor. Remove those nuts and lift off the track.

It's your seat transmission. You don't have to replace the whole track. Rebuilt seat transmisions are available from CF vendors.

Thanks, I live near the Michigan line. Corvette Central is in Sawyer, Good parts supplier and good prices.

This may not be such a bad repair after all. I have Corvette Central about 45 minutes from my house. Decent prices also.
