Please Help 1989 Corvette

I recently purchased a 1989 corvette and twice now when steping on the brakes the car accelerates. Any help would be appreciated.

Thats because your big club foot is hanging up on the accellerator pedal...

Go ahead...ask me how I know..

Drove a previous C4 broadside under a P/U truck and had the damn thing sitting on the hood of my car because my diehard boot hung on the gas and floored the car as I hit the brakes...

These cars do NOT tolerate big feet or big hard souled shoes. If your shoes have a hard edge...you;re hitting the gas and WILL be on the 6:00 news.

Could be! I do have big feet. Size 11 D to be exact.

I agree have had the same problem with my 89 and I wear a size 12. I wear wrestling shoes when autocrossing it helps alot.

I can tell you how to fix the problem. My Corvette had the same issue. I have a size 15... purchase a pair of New Balance Sneakers... the traditional black ones. Not only are they comfortable, the way they curve, they give you room between the clutch-brake-gas...
