Default 383 carbed and need some advice

So long story short I built a 383. Dropped it in with the tpi. Hated it. Put a eldebrock intake and holley 750 vac. secondary on it with a mallory 4309. My problem is it wont idle and has little to no power. The first thing that came to my mind was a vaccum leak but not 100% sure. Any ideas?

heads full ported and bigger valves (247 cfm)

stock pump with a mallory bypass regulator (4309)

What dizzy and what's the timing set at?

Also - If you've got a vac leak a can of brake/carb cleaner can find it in short order.

Yes a MASSIVE vac leak would result is a loss in power (your leaning the motor out big time).... not to mention the Holley 3310 carb you have is jetted lean on the secondary (w/ a fixed jet plate) to begin with.... It wouldn't take too much to make it run like total crap.

So I found a vac leak on my pcv hose and now with that fixed it idles alot better. Now Im pulling my carburator to rebuid it. The left nozzle is clogged and hardly spraying any fuel! It leans out very quickly. Hopefully she will be good to go soon!
