Default CCW classics on C4

Looking at a used set of 18x10.5 and 18x11.5 F/R that came off a c5Z. No offset is stamped and the seller doesn't know the offset. Will there be any fitment issues on a 92 Coupe? Tires are 285/40 front and 295/35 rear.

Thanks!

Yep, he keeps really good records... and if you have the seller's name (and he was the original buyer from CCW), John should be able to pull the build sheet and give you the specs.

Ask the seller to measure the offset? Really not that hard. Or if it's local measure yourself.

The factory backspacing with the 17x9.5 56mm offset is about 7". So, what is the maximum safe backspacing for a '92 with 18" wheels? I've heard of people running 17x11 zr1 (about 7" backspacing IIRC) wheels on all 4 corners, so unless these CCW's have well over 56mm offset they should be good, right?

Waiting on the backspace measurements from the seller (not the original purchaser unfortunately).

I've put my ZR1 rear wheels on the front of my 89 just to see how they fit. They will rub at lock, but they work. I've seen one car running like that. He said he was using that setup for AutoX.

If it is a 11.5 inch rear rim that 295 is almost too narrow of a tire imo.

I run c5z06 rears on all 4 corners of my 92
I've run 17x11 with 315 rubber on all 4 corners of my 92 (just gotta watch the full lock turns)
If the CCW have the offset for a C5 you should be fine.
I'm with 88 - 295 is the smallest I'd run on the 11.5" rim.

Whatcha gonna do for rubber? Gonna get on a road course?

I agree the 295 seems too small for 11.5, but that's what's on them now and I wouldn't mind putting the 295's up front and getting 315's out back. Not for track use yet, i want to stay in a stock class with the stocker 9.5's for now but who knows later on. I may even want to throw those ccw's on my c5.
