Low RPM Skip
Hi...I have a 90 with 24K miles that has a a bit of a skip at low RPM...it seems to go away at WOT...but when you are driving at a consistent low RPM (under 2K) it feels like it is mis-firing.
I changed all o the injectore last summer ( under the tutalage of Jon at FIC...thanks
)...and all new plugs were put in about 500 miles ago...
Could it be wires? they are the orginal ones...
any insight is better than none....

What is your fuel pressure? I had a slight skip/hesitation under load at lower rpms and it turned out to be the fuel pump was beginning to go south. If yours is consistent and more than just one skip, i would look more towards the ignition system.

As previously posted, have a similar problem with my 87 A/T. Seems most likely to happen in 3rd at 1200 rpms or so, but goes away if I start to accelerate. Have new plug wires and have replaced the three ignition components in/under the distro cap. Suspose plugs are next but was hoping to get some confirmation here on the forum. If it was a stick-shift, I say it feels like I forgot to shift and am lugging it--too weird.....
