Default Another question for Scorp

Scorp, how do you like that cam? Idle? Power band? Low-end torque feel less?

Kinda early to tell, but so far I love it. I have an exhaust leak I have to fix and it is running way rich, so there is definitely more power in there once it is tuned.

But, I can tell you that stomping on it at 30mph (3400 RPM) completely lights the tires up. :) The power band almost seems neverending after being used to the stock TPI setup. The car pulls effortlessly all the way to 5800 and I think it might go a little further if I let it, but I'm shifting there for the sake of the bottom end.

The idle is "good", but not great yet. Fixing the exhaust leak should help smooth that out. I think I have to replace my IAC also as the idle takes a couple of seconds to stabalize when I come to a stop. It has yet to stall, so thats a good thing. :)

I am completely lost in the car. The shiftpoints are all different, the MPH in each gear are completely different. I used to shift like this at the track...

1st to 2nd @ 4600 @ 46 MPH
2nd to 3rd @ 4400 @ 58 MPH
3rd to 4th @ 4400 @ 82 MPH

...and then ride out 4th through the traps at about 100 MPH (4000 RPM). Now the car pulls so long that I'm probably looking at something like this.

1st to 2nd @ 6000 @ 52 MPH
2nd to 3rd @ 6000 @ 79 MPH
3rd to 4th @ 6000 @ 112 MPH

I probably won't even get as far as 4th, probably finish in 3rd now. Once I get it on the dyno for some tuning and see where the power exactly is I will know where to shift.

Only got ~190 miles on it now, still trying to behave for the most part with the clutch. :)
