I haven't been able to find the part for my 96. I know that the 95 has hard vacuum nipples instead of the soft ones on the 96. Are they electrically different as well. Has anyone tried swapping one for a different year?

Very few programmers fail.
I bought my 96 Collector Edition Coupe new.
When mine stopped working, I removed the programmer. Then cut off the very end of the soft nipples rendering them impossible to collapse.
Installed a bolt and nut on the vacuum connection.
Reinstalled the programmer. Started the engine before reinstalling the lower dash pad and metal reinforcement panel. Voila! The air moved to the A/C vents IMMEDIATELY!
I still have my Vette. I did this repair years ago and has worked ever since.
If you need any help on this, feel free to send me a PM.
SAVE the gosh darn WAVE!
