85-89 console plate help
Does anyone have a picture of an automatic and a stick console plate from the same model year?
My 85 console plate needs to be tossed and the automatic plate is all that is still sold. I wonder if I can mod the auto plate to work with a stick?

I'm gonna go out on a limb as say that they might be very much the same. I recently had my interior apart and if you show me a pic of your's, I would be able to tell the difference , if any. Obviously you won't need the indicator window.

In my photos, I have a very clear pic of my console, maybe you can see from that. I'm sure that any mounting points will be the same. I'm thinkin that your gonna have a bigger boot and would have to cut open that area on the auto console, maybe incorporating the boot area into the indicator window section on the auto.

I just seen someone on E-Bay selling exactly what your looking for from an 85 manual and it is the one you need. To use the auto one, the boot section IS incoperated into the indicator area. Better grab it before it disappeares
