After replacing my weatherstrip I ended up with leaks worse than before I replaced the strip. Now the original leaks were just in the corners of the windows where the top met with the A pillar. Now the leaks are worse because the windows do no line up and have gaps. My stepdad and I adjusted the drivers window (after many hours of adjustments) and fixed the issue for that side. Now we start to repeat the process for the passenger side and after hours of work have been unsuccessful. If we get the gap fixed on the A pillar we have an issue with the B pillar, then get the B fixed then the A is jacked again. I have a factory shop manual on loan to me and it list nice instructions on what to adjust to fix a specific alignment issue, but we just have found that magic spot. Does anyone have any tips on an easy way to do this? I thought I could adjust the window with it up by just sliding it into the position I need, but it doesn't seem to work that way and I have to lower the window to make an adjustment then back up, then down, then up...ect. Does anyone know how they put the glass in at the factory? I know they don't have a lot of time to do it and there has to be an easy way to get the window to seal.
I spent a long time on mine, too. On the passenger side I put some storm king rubber weatherstrip, 3/4 inch from home depot behind the rear pillar weatherstrip to push it out some to contact the glass. It had tested fine initially but then a gap showed up. The factory VHS tape shows testing with a smooth stream of water from a hose with no nozzle on it, just flowing the water down.
I also think that having the window too far forward makes it hard to get the rear pillar to seal.

So you got the window adjusted and it looked fine, but then you noticed a gap. Then you go some rubber strip to help seal, now you have a nice seal correct?
Yes. I put the Frost King weatherstrip behind the corvette weatherstrip to push it out some. Actually the window sealed fine at first, it was a week or 2 later that the gap appeared.
On that (passenger) door the forward weatherstrip retainer had been low on the pillar (down towards the glass) more than on the driver's side. The widshield had been replaced so I figured someone had put the retainer back in the wrong place so I put it higher, like the driiver's side. Then I couldnt get the window forward enough so I had to relieve the glass mounting bolt holes in the regulator some to get the glass forward more. I guess the forward retainer was in the right place after all......

So you ended up adjusting the window by just moving the window more? The new strip didn't end up helping.
After I had moved the window forward and leak tested it, which it passed front and rear, and buttoned up the inside of the door, a few weeks later I noticed a gap between the glass & weatherstrip at the rear pillar. That's when, rather than take the door apart I put the weatherstripping from Home depot under the Corvette weatherstripping to close the gap.
