finally passed smog
I would like to thank everyone on the forum that help me with getting my 93 to pass smog. Just a follow up, it was failing at idle rich condition. I tried everything and replacing the cats did it, I did not think it would work, there was a miss that is still there and I thought that was it. next thing is to find the miss. I am datalogging and trying to find it, I learned alot the past month thanks to all.

Congrats as well; been thru the same crap twice before, in both cases fresh cats did the trick. I have found that the cats lose their efficiency pretty quickly when the car is missing or not running perfectly. This same smog problem could repeat itself 2 years down the road again! I know its anti EPA but the first thing I did when I passed smog last year was to remove my pristine cats so I wouldn't degrade them until the next smog test.
