I really dont have coolign issues, the frotn fan is being relaced becasue the stocker is the original from 1985 and my Hypertech switch turns my fans on at 200 degrees and off at 1985, so it is running more than normal and I the stock pusher is loud.

The Dewitts I bought basically because, I wanted too, and it has more CFM than the stocker, I am always up for improvements when they don't break the bank,, $200 is reasonable to me.

That single will be quieter.
Have a 16" spal 2200 cfm cant hear it with the motor on. Not bad at all
Course my car is loud as hell but still think the fan is quieter than the stockers.

Does that pusher have to be strapped to the condenser coil? I would have to remove my tranny cooler.

OAM , My 406 rumbles so it is not crazy bad but wit that said,, it is loud

Mounted the front fan to the bottom of the radiator by drilling 2 vertical holes

Mounted the top by making two simple straps. not pretty, but you cant see them anyway

No problem here OAM, your A-OK with me, us ol'timers have to hang together! I love everyone, although I have used the Ignore feature for a couple of peopel, that subsequently were suspended

I also added the Hypertech #4028 on @ 200 off at 185 sensor today, so my front fan wont be on as much too, I took out the Hypertech #4026 (free to a good home) on at 176 and off at 166, the front fan ran continuously

The front fan was a nice upgrade, I'm pleased with hit.

I also dug a dead Robin that I hit out of the radiator, stinking feathers every where and one dried up carcass

Yes it is, no denying that. More air usually mean more noise. The current fan is rated at 2360 cfm and it works well. Spal does offer the same fan with curved blades at 2000 cfm which is much quieter but not much of an upgrade.

I like the 2360 cfm, that's was the whole point of the upgrade..

Just like the big cam, you get fuel smell, its the give and take and the extra CFM is worth the extra noise for me

IDK...I think this has been around for a few years. You can get another 110cfm in a curved blade config for about the same price.

Tom, You should consider offering this with your C4 upgrade!

I have good results with this puppy:

90's Taurus 3.8 V6 3 wire fan
1 fan two speed
Slow speed - 2800 CFM
High speed - 5600 CFM

Less than 100 bux on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Taurus-Sable-Lincoln-Continental-3-8L-V6-Radiator-A-C-Condenser-Cooling-Fan-/281732643213?fits=Model%3ATaurus
Size: 18.5 x 23 x 5 inches, and 17" blades

If you score @ a pick a part get the factory 2 sp fan relay.
The Volvo 2 sp fan relay on ebay also works

Good luck

What about power requirements? It seems I read that these can draw some SERIOUS amperage (like 80?) and would need a 200A alternator. Do you have a thread on how you adapted to your shroud?
