C4 won't start

C4 won't start
Please help have a 1994 that my wife drove to work ran fine she went out to start , would crank fine but only started once and died so had it towed home and now won't even crank and battery is good ,i'm thinking it something to do with alarm I have taken off battery cable and next day put back on and nothing , I'm no mechanic so need help ,thanks

Wouldn't be a VATS problem if it cranks.
Check the basics: fuel and spark. Fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail. Timing light on a spark plug wire. You can see timing light flashes even if the engine just cranks without running.

It could also be an aftermarket alarm they seem to want to act up if the battery has been dead or disconnected.

thanks for reply as I said I'm no mechanic but the vat sounds like it could be the problem will check into first , I just have to find out how to bypass that I can figure out

If it does end up being the vats, they make a bypass for the vats system that goes under your steering column and plugs in...It cost about $27.00..WW

thanks guys , will work on it on fri or sat , the reason I'm thinking it's something to do with security is that it crank till I had it towed home then it wouldn't crank and battery is new and is charge and I 'm going to do a search to find where the fuse for alarm is I haven.t found it yet , thanks again all for your help

I think the starter should be checked first and then if it is bad troubleshoot the engine running problem next.

I have a 1982 Crossfire, 32k original miles and has been driven very little for the past several years. I put it away for the winter and just replaced the battery. The car is cranking but no fuel coming out of the injectors. The fuses 20 Amp in battery box looks good and the two fuses underneath look good. What steps should I take before taking it to a shop for possible, fuel filter replacement, fuel pump etc..
