Clutch Master AGAIN
Two years ago I replaced the cluch master & slave on my 84, with parts purchased at Advanced Auto -looked at my reciept and they have a 1 year warranty.
I have put about 5k miles on these and lost the pedal the other day -the fluid was just below the full line. The slave looks dry under the boot and at first I could pump like crazy and get some pedal. So, I used the Mity Vac and bleed it and it seemed to get better, but I want back in about 5 minutes and lost the pedal again.
I pump like crazy and nothing, so I'm pretty sure it is the master again -but I'll know when I pull it.
I use synthetic Dot -is this a problem?
Is this about the life expectancy of the parts made in China?
I purchased a new one from NAPA and am installing it tonight -would it be worth getting a rebuild kit for the bad one and keep it for a spare?
Is there a better master/ slave available -like a HD system for racing??
