I have an 88 Vert and I was just going through my paperwork. It's telling me my paint code is 81U, bright red. The 8th and 9th digits of the vin are the only places those numbers appear in the vin, my paperwork isn't really telling me that the paint color is in the vin#. Not unless the 8th and 9th digits are for the paint color, but the vin# is 81J not 81U. So where in the vin# does it tell you the color of the car?

That sticker is long gone on my car, I wish I could get a repro, I do see the mark where it was though, oh well.....

Yeah, I already got my repro window sticker and build-sheet from them, but I'd love to get the sticker thats missing from the underside of my console-lid. Nobody has them as far as I know........
