Default The PKE module

I've been told that the PKE module is high up on the dash behind the DIC display. Is this something I can gain access to by looking behind the dash from the floor or is it a bear and something the dealer should swap?

I've never done it, but I am told it is a bear. I don't believe you can get to it without removing the dash.

Here's a thread with pictures.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-g...tallation.html

A person did post not long ago about replacing the PKE module
by removing the DIC and cutting a hole and reaching in
to remove the PKE module.

Removing the dash cover does take some time but it can be done with some patience.

The only comment I can add to getting the PKE out is to remove the 2 screws holding the center A/C vent to the dash. It gives you a little more room and flex to get the PKE box out of the tight fit.

I personally would not cut any holes. Not really needed especially if you are going to do all that work, why take a non-productive short cut. Not even sure if it would save and time or effort.
