Hi all, I have been searching but haven't found the answer to my question.
I am replacing my water pump on my 87 L98 with my rebuild and realized the new water pump doesn't have the "pipe" coming out of the side that my original pump has installed.
How does one obtain the pipe and or install it, I am guessing it is either threaded or is pressed in?
Use a pipe wrench , unscrew it from the old water pump, clean off the threads, put some sealant on the threads , screw it into the new water pump....WW
Wow, sorry, I looked at it numerous times and didn't see the Nut on the pipe. This time I went out to it with the intention of using a pipe wrench and saw a nut head formed as part of the pipe, so it is removed.
Thanks to all for the assist and sorry for the blind stupidity on my end....
