Default concern on muffler eliminators

I am thinking about doing the muffler eliminators in my stock 95 auto. My knowledge is limitied and I thought mufflers provided the resistance that was needed for the engine. If I remove that resistance am I going to have a problem with the engine.

I also want to double check if everything else on the car is stock with the exhaust can i do just the eliminators??

Sorry if these questions have already been covered.

no and yes.

They work fine on a stock car. No problems at all.

I put them on my 94 and loved them. At first I thought they were too loud until I got used to them, but I really miss them now that I don't have that car any more. I kept the stock exhaust including the cat's and center resonator. They are a deep rumble at idle and light throttle, but not very loud. When you use a lot of gas they get pretty loud.

I had them on a stock 87 but took them off after a season. I just felt they were too loud when you had to get on it. I felt socially irresponsible. When I was a teen I had a 58 Chevy vert with a bored out small block and dump tubes. Loved to uncork them and run down the interstate!
I also had a 63 Impala with the same setup. Guess they were not too popular with the police though as I got pulled over with both of those cars and given a ticket.
Geesh - must be getting old.

Socially irresponsible?! Hmmmm... maybe I'm not yet as old as my drivers license suggests I am. I love my muffler eliminators!
