-=jeff=- helped me out the other night diagnosing my bogging problems. 1 of my injectors is on the way out. I would like to purchase some high perf injectors becaus even though my car is stock, I'm looking eventually building out the bottom end and putting on an s/c. I will in a couple months put on the S/C and run 6 psi.
What type and how many lbs. I need your input. '92 LT-1.
p.s. -=Jeff=- is going to help me burn the computer to compensate so that's not an issue+I won't have to worry about an FMU w/ the s/c
On a side note, should I upgrade my fuel pump right away too?
I know this is already posted in the perf forum, but this really should have been posted here. Sorry.
For a blower car on a 350 or 355, you will probably need 42lb injectors. 383 you may need to go to a 50lb injector. Either will be a little large for a stock 350 NA application and your best bet would be to buy some FMS 24LB ones for now and resell them when you are ready for the blower. No need to upgrade the pump until ther blower or unless you do something else that needs more fuel.
Patience---- Injector sizing is directly related to top end fuel pressure/volume. For example, with one Bosch intank pump and a Kenny Bell boost a pump I had 52 lbs fuel pressure feeding 83 lb injectors. Now with dual pumps pressure is at 54 lbs and if desired I can revert to 50lb injectors.. I suggest you consider 50 lb injectors and adjust the fuel curve accordingly. Your call.
