Possible parting with Items
*first - this is NOT a "for sale ad" being posted here. it is an inquiry as to the best way to post it in the "for sale section" and since this section is filled with "tinkerers", i posted it here.*
I finally decided to part with my best friends' automotive items since he passed many years ago. I have a list and some descriptions consisting of Edelbrock and Weiand intake manifolds, distributors, Holley and Carter 4bbl carbs, a chromed B+M alternator bracket or two, etc.
I need to know how to obtain the model number(s) of a Holley 4bbl carb and a Carter 4bbl carb to i can be as accurate as i can when i list prices for them. Can anyone tell me EXACTLY where to look on these carbs? (were all mounted/applied to a chevy 350 block).
Lastly, instead of posting all these on photobucket, i attached pictures i took to a typical word document with descriptions and prices. Does photo bucket have the ability for a person to download a word doc with attached picts? (it has been a very long tome since i have been on Photobucket). Thanks!
Carter carbs go WAY back. My '57 Chevy had a WCFB. My '69 Camaro and '71 Corvette had Quadrajets so you're talking '50s and early '60s cars.
Unless you want to sell everything in one big lot I think you're better off breaking the various bits and pieces down as separate items. It will make it much easier to keep track of the pictures/descriptions as some of them are sold.
**yes, I KNOW THAT!...i drive an 88!...this was an inquiry as to "how' to post - not where!I am not a "new-commer" here
so you would be much better off in the C3 C2 or C1 sections.
**see above! - that was my intent. you clearly didn't understand what i was asking in my question.
Carter carbs go WAY back.
**yes, they do.

**no, i don't. again, this was an inquiry mostly dealing with the BEST WAY to post the items, NOT WHERE and further, an inquiry about photobucket's capability.

**thanks for the response anyway,

Drop them an e-mail for the inquiry and attach the word document.

Within photobucket you can make an album put all your FS pics in it and make it public so everyone can see it. You can link to the album or post pictures individually in your description. I don't think you can use photobucket as you are thinking. You could however make your listing in word and paste the links to the pictured with it,Then you could copy and paste it to your post and post in in multiple places easily.

Doing it by individual pics would allow for deleting of individual pics when they are sold. With a single Word doc, you would have to edit the entire document as stuff gets sold.
Front of choke tower. If the tower is ground off there will be # s stamped on the top of the metering blocks that may help
Ex: 3310=Holley 750 vacuum secondary
pm me a list of what you have on intakes and holley carbs may be interested in the lot depending on price. Not int in Eddy carbs

Think the PO is getting frustrated at the usual "its not C4 or efi so therefore..."
Kinda like the responses on 84 CFI intakes lol
Carbs are great if you know how to set them up.

You already know the best way to post stuff..
THANKS FOR THE REPLY..yes, i THINK i do. i have used pb in the past but, a very long time ago.
Boy did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?
NO, but you gave me all the info i already knew and felt it was not even close to answering with the info i needed.

yes, i know that - however, posting a word doc with picts embedded into it was the main question/issue and so far it appears that it isn't going to work teh way i want it to. i will have to re-think this.

you are most likely correct.

nah...but, i will figure something out---THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE.

PS: I thought i read that they are no longer manufacturing carters anymore - Any truth to that?
I was able to locate and pull off the numbers stamped onto the base which are: 3310 9635SA.
Looking around at various sites on the net leads me nowhere at this writing. Anyone have a valid source or, can ID this carb by the numbers posted? THANKS.
