My car is 10 years older than yours and things changed over the years, but the wire for my oil temperature sender runs in the same loom as the O2 sensor and the ground wires that go to the side of the block above the oil temperature switch. I have heard that those wires go to a stud on the bellhousing in later years, so yours might be different (and of course you have O2 sensor wiring that I don't have, since I only have one, and it's not heated).

my 91 has the orange wire input, red wire out to OP switch, tan wire to gage. saw a photo of a 96 and it was the same. the wires are tight and run off one side to the harness bundle. can't get to it under the car. -can't get to it, period- it is drivers side right behind valve cover. a second oil press sender is nearby, goes to "check gages."

your oil TEMP sender wire is in the same bundle as the grounds and the o2 sensor lead.

Follow those wires back to the harness thats hidden well behind the valve cover.

The wire is there. No reason for it not to be.

it pays to read with your spectacles and your brain in gear!

at least he knows where oil pressure senders are.

Everybody misses the temp vs pressure......

oil temp is such an unknown among other cars that it doesn't register the 1st time around with most people...
