L98 problems accelerating with a/c on
When my a/c is on in my 1991 Vette, my car won't allow me to go over 3,000 RPM IN 1-4 gears... It starts shaking and definitely let's you know to let off the accelerator.. Anyone have any experience with that?

I assume it is not an automatic.
Does it run perfectly normal with the A/C off?
Will it rev normal in neutral over 3000 rpm with A/C on.
Have you checked out the belt and the bearing on the compressor to see if it shakes or is solid.
Is the tensioneer within limits.

Yes, it is a 6 speed manual. When the a/c is off, she runs perfectly with full power. I honestly never tried revving her up past 3,000 RPM in neutral. Also, I have not checked the belt and bearing yet. I will do these things in the next day or so and let you know. Thanks so much for your help!
