1984 problems
I,v had this car 10 now and had this trouble most of this time, It starts after about 5 seconds cranking,and the runs very rich, lopes and popping in the exhaust pipe,but if you step on it it, will **** and git,,when it goes into closed loop it will start to run better but still has this erratic firing at low from,but still gits.now for what I,v done ,new exhaust, new catylitic converter, new. Plugs, wires, rotor cap,new temp sensor in front off engine,with new connector.new egr and checked ,its clean and closed at ideal,new air filter,new PVC ,iac have been removed and cleaned.injector seem to have a very spray pattern,and no leaking,air management system seems to divert air properly, this is driving me nuts.the only thing I haven't checked is fuel pressure.I know it should be 9 to 13 pounds.but there is no easy way to check it .and vaccum has been checked and it seems good, I have fixed a couple leaks!now the low from problems sucks but it goes. Great.just doesn't idle.for ****.one other thing the lights .in dash and other lights flicker at idle, is this a bad altinator?. Still 14 volts on the dash at idle.and could be all my trouble ?
