i have a 1996 and i dont think the wheels have tp monitors, they look like rubber valve stems,,should they be hard metal if there tp monitors? and i get this service tpmws light all the tome after driving? whats up with this?
IIRC, the TPS is in a band that attached to the inside of the wheel on all C4s that have them. The C5s have TPS in the valve stem.
If one or more of your TPS monitors isn't working, then it will set the LTPWS light.
There is a difference in the TPS monitors between early C4s that had them (89, 90, ??) and later (95, 96). But I don't remember what the changeover year was.
There are variety of new systems, the most common relies on tire diameter as measured by the wheel speed sensor or ABS. As posted, yours is attached to the inside of the rim sending a signal to the receiver. Most common failure is improper tire installation. Buy new ones lately? If so, return to wherever you bought them and tell them they broke it.

There are two different sets of sensors, 89-92 and 93-96
You most likely have a bad one or are missing one or all four.
A search is not needed, I thought that was one of reasons why we come here and that is to help if we can, if not then don't bother.
