Ok, My birthday is In a week and I have about 1800 bucks to spend on my car... Its a 96 Lt4 coupe, Its lowered, has gs rims, shorthrow shifter, and cat back exhaust, cold air intake, throttle body... what do U guys think I should do with my money??

Install 4.10:1 gears for sure, then buy some extra rear tires with the remainder! LT4 + 4.10 = one happy driver.

*Edit* O.k., since you already have gears then I suggest you get ported cylinder heads and a cam upgrade. Yeah I know that'll be more than $1,800 - that's what MasterCard is for.

If you are going to do headers you should make them the full length version to see any real power gain over stock. IMO virtually 100% of the shorty type headers out there do NOT outflow the factory LT1/4 cast iron exhuast manifolds - some of them even flow less than the factory manifolds due to poor design/manufacturing. I do have shorty Watson headers (not available anymore I understand) on mine, but I've always considered it a cosmetic change, not a performance one.
