Default what oil temps do you see?

I just got done w a bunch of mods on my supercharged 93 vert 6spd.

Oil temps can run as high as 210 f in city driving.

I was surprised to see oil temps 15 degrees f higher
Than before.

Coolant temp remains steady 175f just like before (note I have 160f t stat and fans coming on at lower temp).

Some mods included:
Canton 7 qt road race pan
Afr 195 comp ported eliminator heads (w/ double valve springs)
Lt4 ed timing kit
Lloyd elliot cam (224/236 .570ish lift).

If anything, I thought w/ canton 7 qt pan, the oil temp wld be lower.

My oil temp is 185 to 225. Depending on air temperature, kind of driving and length of time on road.

In town, oil temps are same as coolant. On the highway, oil is 20-25* higher than coolant.

I'm beginning to believe you are trolling. A day ago was your shirtless thread and now a notorious beated down to death oil temperature thread.

If it is true that you have a SC in your Vette, you should also now that it will run hotter than a stock engine. If the engine runs hotter so will the oil, the coolant and your legs.

Learn more about superchargers or force induction on google. If you consider 210 to be a high oil temperature (which is not), install an oil cooler. You have plenty of space, you removed your air conditioning system.

Hurry and start the dexcool thread.

Wrong. He can have whatever avatar he chooses, as long as it's not offensive, overly sexual or pornographic in nature. Let's see if we can stay on topic from this point forward.

Deal with it and/or don't look at it. You won't win this one.
