I have finally got time to start back on my 84 and wanted to share a pic of the nitrous breathing 84. Just had Texas Quality finish up a full exhaust. Put Hooker headers, Magna flow x-pipe (dual in dual out) and no mufflers out back. Also removed AIR pump. Car has really picked up at mid power. Finally figured out high rpm mis/cut out issue. (Bad wires)
Going to make a few nitrous pulls this weekend so I will give an update.
Did you open up the intake manifold a bit, or are you just running nitrous as is? Eager to learn what you have done. More pics would be great, especially of the nitrous setup. Dave
Here is the link to what I have done before my mods this past week. Got nitrous dialed in yesterday.....WOW!!! Nitrous hit HARD. I forgot how nice the squeeze was. I have had this car a long time and have worked on it in waves over the years. Got the itch again and can't wait to see results from headers and exhaust.

This is my favourite article, and wanted to follow it when I bought my '84.
It would be great to see more pics, under the hood and of the nitrous setup. I have headers to install, a newly ported CFI intake and need to remove the AIR pump. I too lost interest in my car the last year, but am back at it currently upgrading to C5 brakes up front.
I agree with all the above.. Nice to know our lowly 84's can be improved so cheaply.. Point of interest in the top right picture in the article, the rear wheel is backwards..
